Holocaust Children's Memorial Garden

A Place of Memory, Reflection, and Hope

IMG_6441_JPG.avif

Dedicated on May 19, 2019, by the Burkhoff family, the JCC Holocaust Remembrance Garden stands as a beacon of memory and hope. While it serves as a reminder of past atrocities, it is also a symbol of resilience, faith, and vibrant Jewish life at the JCC PMB & Abrams Camps.

Surrounded by lush shrubbery, flowers, and carefully placed stones, the garden features a brick patio, handmade benches, and an open space for all to reflect, learn, and find peace.

More than just a garden, this space is a place of education, reflection, and action, inspiring future Jewish leaders to live with kindness, speak out against hatred, and honor those who came before us.

We invite all members of our community to visit and take part in this meaningful space.

The Daffodil Project

As part of the global Daffodil Project, we plant yellow daffodils each year to honor the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust and to support the fight against contemporary antisemitism and genocide.

These flowers, resembling the yellow stars worn during the Holocaust, bloom each spring as a symbol of remembrance and resilience.
